OUR PHILOSOPHY

Lead to Connect is passionate about how to merge together the theoretical and empirical research that exists on leadership development on the one hand with what we know about adult development on the other. When coupled, this builds deeper learning experiences.

Drawing on Robert Kegan’s Adult Development Theory, our programs invite leaders to explore the essence of their identity to achieve personal transformation. Our approach accounts for this by using the four steps of the Adult Learning Model as the underpinning of our programs:

1.      Explore concrete experience

2.      Observe and reflect

3.      Form abstract concepts

4.      Develop and apply new courses of action to real situations.

This creates a cycle of continued application and learning as the participants enhance their internal capacities, which in turn enables them to manage better the complexities of leading, teaching, learning and living.
